Terms of use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the use of the Balizar app ("App") available on Google Play and the Apple Store. By using the App, you agree to these Terms, so please read them carefully before using the App. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of the Terms

1.1 By using the Balizar App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and fully accepted these Terms of service, agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these Terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this App. The materials contained in this App are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

1.2 We reserve the right to modify, update or replace these Terms at any time by publishing the revised version in the App. It is your responsibility to check the Terms regularly to stay up to date. When the change is relevant, we will let you know in the App or by e-mail before it takes effect. Continued use of the App after any changes are published constitutes acceptance of those modifications; if you do not agree, you can delete your account at any time.

2. Use of the App

2.1 The Balizar App is a tool for financial control and personal expense management. It allows you to record, track and analyze your daily expenses, categorize your spending, set custom budgets and follow your financial situation.

2.2 The information provided by the App is for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial, investment or accounting advice. You are responsible for your own finances and for the decisions made based on the information provided by the App.

2.3 By using the App, you agree not to:

• a) Use the App for illegal or unauthorized purposes;
• b) Violate any law, regulation or third-party right;
• c) Provide false, misleading or fraudulent information;
• d) Interfere with or disrupt the functionality of the App;
• e) Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App;
• f) Transmit viruses, malware or any harmful code;
• g) Use the App to collect personal information of third parties without proper consent.

3. Privacy and Data Protection

3.1 The processing of your personal data follows the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and, for those who use the App from the European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Which data we process, what for, on which legal basis, who we share it with and for how long are in the Privacy policy, which is part of these Terms.

3.2 At any time, you can download a copy of all your data and delete your account in the App itself (Profile → ⋮) or in the desktop app (Settings → Your data). Deleting erases the account and the data for good, including the wallets, goals and budgets you shared, and does not cancel the Plus subscription, which must be cancelled in the App Store or Google Play.

3.3 The App is meant for people aged 16 and over.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 The Balizar App and all related content (such as texts, graphics, logos, icons, images, videos, audio, software and any other material) are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. All rights to the App and its content are reserved.

4.2 You acknowledge and agree that you have no ownership rights to the App or any part of it. You may not copy, modify, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information, software, products or services obtained through the App without our prior written authorization.

4.3 You agree not to circumvent, disable or in any way interfere with the security features of the App, including, but not limited to, any content protection technology or security mechanisms built into the App.

5. Limitation of Liability

5.1 The Balizar App is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the App or its use. We do not guarantee that the App is error-free, secure, uninterrupted, accurate, complete or suitable for your needs.

5.2 In no event shall we be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

5.3 The materials displayed in the App may include technical, typographical or photographic errors. We do not warrant that any material in our App is accurate, complete or current. We may make changes to the materials contained in the App at any time without notice.

5.4 The App may be automatically discontinued by us at any time if you violate any of these restrictions.

6. General Provisions

6.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements.

6.2 The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Terms shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.

6.3 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brazil, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

6.4 Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or to the use of the App shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Brazil.

By using the Balizar App, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.
